patchwork post

it's memorial day weekend. summer is officially in full-swing. and here's what's going on in my world:
  • i've been devouring some chopra recently. i've particularly enjoyed this and this.
  • i've had plenty of blog post ideas based on the above readings, but alas, they have yet to materialize.
  • i now take laney to my parent's house on the days i can't work from home. she is enjoying spending time in their backyard and i'm enjoying not having to replace window panes.
  • thankfully, SNP has unlimited skills in home repair. he has already taken care of fixing my dog-destroyed window and my broken garbage disposal (that one wasn't laney's fault) and hanging curtain rods to replace multiple dog-destroyed miniblinds.
  • it's looking like i will be doing some work in malaysia. i will likely go over there sometime this summer and then sometime in the fall. with plenty of video conferencing in between.
  • i still haven't a clear idea as to what's going on with my overall career path. but i'm doing my best to just trust that i'm where i need to be and that this little detour has some sort of overall meaning that i don't understand just yet.
  • besides, trinidad? malaysia? yes, please!
  • life with SNP continues to be absolutely wonderful in every way imaginable. does that sound gross? i don't care. it's the truth.
  • there has been plenty of dreams for the future shared between us, maybe even a baby name decided upon (ok, yes, there's been a baby name chosen), and timelines discussed.
  • but in the meantime, i'm doing my best to enjoy everything each moment has to offer. because this romance stuff? AWESOME.
  • i've joined a gym.
  • i hesitate to even post this because there is a high likelihood that i will soon be posting a confessional about quitting the gym.
  • i hate gyms.
  • but i'm trying to change that.
  • my first niece is scheduled to make her appearance in less than 8 weeks!
  • and that about sums up my life at the moment.
  • see you in a month?

Hello! Malaysia? That sounds amazing.

I'm so happy that life is treating you so well. I like hearing the sappy, mushy stuff, so bring it on.

Have a good holiday weekend!

So happy about the happiness.

Malaysia sounds incredible... I wish my work would send me to beautiful locales and exotic spaces.
